Admission to our program is currently based on a student file and an interview. After your application file has been submitted and examined, you will be called in for an interview with the education committee if your file has been accepted. When you come to the interview, you will sit an English test.
The ISIS engineering program is a program offered by the Jean-François Champollion University Center, which has its head office in ALBI. It is therefore free of charge. You will therefore only incur the registration fees (1) for the university, which are to be paid when you register. (1) For information, for the 2008-09 university year: university registration fees of approximately €520, social security costs of approximately €190 and preventive medicine costs of approximately €5. The amounts for 2009-10 have not yet been determined.
This program is only available to persons who can attend in Castres, France.
To attend, you must apply earlier than French students, as the process is somewhat longer.
1. ISIS application file: you must download the application file for the program, fill it in, attach the relevant documents and send it to us as soon as possible; 2. Submit a file to Campus France as indicated in the ISIS site procedure (file, attachments, interview, education committee opinion …).
You must do the above very early in March or April so that your files can be processed simultaneously, leaving you the time to fulfil all the administrative formalities, including those for your student visa which may take time depending on your country of origin.
Remember to provide us with references for the Campus France file and its status!
The application file for the current year is available on the site starting in February. You may download it. Then, simply fill it in, attached the related documents (copies of diplomas, letters of recommendation, etc.) and send it to us in paper form (to the address indicated) or digitally (e-mail to contact-castres@univ-jfc.fr). Upon receipt by our institution of your file, you will receive a notice of receipt by e-mail as well as a note as to whether it is compliant or not (missing documents).
In general, the interviews take place in June. Each student is invited individually by postal mail for a given time. The students attend individually before an education committee composed of the program director, teachers and professionals. The interview lasts approximately 20 minutes per applicant. Before or after the interview, you will take an English test with a group (oral and written) that lasts approximately 25 minutes.
As soon as you have received the letter that indicates that you have been accepted in the program and after you have registered with the university.
